Extended Rear Facing

Preston has always been in the 95-98 percentile for his height and weight. He is not an over weight kid, he is just solid. Total toddler football player build :) That being said, when people would see my 3 yr old, 40 lb toddler rear facing...I would get some weird looks. And a lot of questions and comments. Preston has been rear facing until about two weeks ago. It was sad for me but he literally went over the weight limit for the car seat and I had to get a different one. He is so excited to be forward facing, and I am too, but I sure am glad I waited until he was 3.5 to turn him around.

I encourage all moms and dads to really think about extended rear facing. It is safer. Even though I got silly looks and loads of comments...my sons life was more important to me. Included is an awesome article on ERF. Please do your own research and consider practicing ERF. It's not too late, get those toddler turned back around! :)
