Remember to Breathe

As moms, we are constantly on the go. I know for myself this is very true. If I am not taking care of Preston, dealing with 3 year old tantrums, cleaning a mess, doing daily chores, cooking, doing potty breaks, grocery shopping, working, doing homework, studying, doing mom group activities, volunteering, reading, scheduling appointments, and making sure the dog and the gold fish are alive…..I am reminding myself to breathe. Being a mom is hard work and any mom can agree. Some moms are lucky to have small conveniences like house cleaners, nannies, and attentive husbands. I have none of the above. I do it all. And when you do it all its hard to constantly give your all 100 % of the time. If you are feeling like you are over whelmed and needing a break….ask for one. Call a friend or family member you trust and ask them to give you some relief. That’s what friends and family are for. It’s ok to have YOU time. YOU always give your time to everyone else so why not have take some time and give it back to yourself. And during this break do something just for you. Take a bubble bath, read a book, write in a journal, take a nap….do whatever relaxes you because lord knows you need it! Remember that to be the best mom you can be, you have to care for yourself too. Keep up the awesome work mommies!! We are raising a generation of super amazing children!!
